Quick comparison: Pentax consumer tele zooms

Did a quick and dirty comparison between the following consumer grade Pentax tele zoom lenses recently:

DA 55-300mm
DA 50-200mm
FA J 75-300mm

Shots were at 200mm for DA 50-200mm and at the 190mm mark, for the DA 55-300mm and FAJ 75-300mm on a tripod. Sharpness wise I can live with any one of these lenses but I leave you all to come up with your own conclusions.

1) DA 55-300mm

2) DA 50-200mm WR

3) FA J 75-300mm

I think your comparison only proves that I know nothing about lenses, because I can't find much difference between shots...

Thank you, you have destroyed my photographic ego.

Visually the last photo appears to be the best - the old FA lens wins - based on sharpness, details in the dark and bright areas, contrast etc. Color appears to be true in all the cases.
Then you beat obsolescence when a Full Frame is announced.

Wouldn't of been better to puth the matching lenses at their minimum and maximum focal lengths instead?
I guess I just feel bad for that poor 50-200 sweatin' to the oldies while its big brothers rest comfortably at 200mm

I like the brightness of the last lens used. but it sure do looks nice. although I dunno if you expose the 1st and 2nd more, we could see the same effect. the 1st photo appears to be the best in terms of detail, but I prefer the 3rd photo.

the 50-200 however, as JB had mentioned, I also feel bad for the poor thing.

IMO, the 55-300 looks the best. That could just be me.
