First of all, congrats on the 77! I started with that one, the downside being that every lens I buy gets compared to it.

I pretty much agree with the poll results so far. The 43's have been going up in price lately, and the early versions fetch even more, but the K50 1.2 prices seem to have levelled off.

And ALL K50 1.2's are made in Japan, so you don't have to worry about that in the future I don't think you'd have as much trouble finding another as you'd have letting go.

I would think selling the 43 would net you about 150 USD more than a K50/1.2.
Really ? I thought the 50/1.2 was rare and quite expensive (>600$). My mistake.

If I had to choose, I'd probably sell the 43. 43 is pretty close to the 31, and the 31's OOF rendering beats the 43. I have both, and since I got the 31, I find that I rarely mount the 43 anymore (unless I need a stealth option, of course). The 50/1.2 is a special lens indeed, with great IQ all around, on par with the limiteds.

Of course, I know this is a tough decision, and I would not want to sell either, but if I had to choose, that is probably what I would do.

Now, if you didn't have the 31, I would probably say sell the 50 and keep the 43 (for sake of AF/AE/etc, you should have a better keeper rate).

Good luck with your decision.

Unless you find yourself using the 10-20 quite a bit, that's the one I'd sell. It's not a "special" lens like the others, though it is a good one. Personally, I don't find myself using mine as much as I thought I would. If you have good copies of the other 2 and have learned how to get the best out of them (and I know you have), then there's no way I would part with either of them.

Can be had for ~$330 in the states if you look around and wait a bit.

Thanks.
There are 2 problems with this.
1 - I have only seen 2 K50/1.2 and no As over last 3 years in UK for sale (not counting ebay)
2 - I love rendering of 50/1.2! Opticaly it's absolutely terrific IMO and I kniw I'd miss it...

I don't use mine very often but every time I do it delivers PPG acceptance! (ok, nearly every time)

I'd say get rid of the 10-20. You can always stitch images together. A first batch FA43? Seems like finding another one of those would be extremely difficult. The 50 1.2 also seems quite rare, atleast in the UK, and the rendering appears truly unique. So the decision doesn't seem difficult to me

Try searching Ebay US. Many sellers will ship worldwide. Even after the international shipping fee, you'll have a great deal considering the weak US dollar to the British pound.

Just hold on to them all, if you can, and forgo your next lens purchase. Isn't that one the easiest to give up?

FA43 will work just like the FA31 is. it's too close. IMO, the FA43 is the cheaper alternative for the FA31.

I own both, and I manual focus a lot so that isn't an issue with me. To my mind the 43 has more "pop" than the 50. It also meters better on my K20D. Unless you do a lot of low available light photography and need the extra 1/2 stop, I'd keep the 43. A silver MIJ 43 is a lot harder to come by than a K 50 F1.2. I see the 50's at KEH frequently, the 43's not so much and never a silver one.

NaCl(the silver 43 is rarer than a K 50 F1.2)H2O

Choose option 3.

I've tested/owned about 50 lenses and in my opinion Ltd 31, 43, 77 as 50/1.2 are special.
You can always sell and buy any zooms but these special primes are too good to be sell. You will regreat if you sell it.
Exactly my thoughts! (without having tested or owned around 50 lenses )
So, +1 on option3 to sell the 10-20.

I'm a bit surprised with the results, I chose the 43 just because of AF, but I didn't think many people would agree with me
