Only thing I really dislike about this lens having rented it a year or so ago is the AF to manual focus switch design. I was bumping it all day long and didn't know it. Why in the world did they design it this way and not with a switch on the side of the lens?

I'm guessing they did not think people would be bumping it all day long. The macro lens works the same way. I'm guessing all Tamron's do.

Okay already, I'm convinced. This thread was worth starting just to see the images presented. I'll have to wait for a little while to recover from the K-5 and DA 21mm Ltd purchase that I paid Santa Clause to bring.

The Tamron 70-200 is indeed a good lens, slightly too big for me, but very good lens.

This the the first time a thread I created was brought back from the dead! I'm touched!

The attached pics were from the concert that was the reason for me renting the 70-200 in the first place. All were taken wide open with the K20.
