How to get the production date of a lens?

Hi, guys, just a quick question, how to find out the production date of a lens?

For russian lenses, the first two digits gives the year of manufacture (except for the 0/00/000 ones). For Pentax lenses, there is no known clue. Serial numbers follow, so you can guess the year if you know the first and last numbers of a given lens
