I have no idea what mount is that but it seems like a M42 mount (black color) with a M42 adapter (silver color) attached. Have you tried to un-screw the silver part? If it can come loose then all you need is to get a M42 adapter to Pentax K body.

unfortunatley the silver bit seems to be an ingetral part of the lense.......I would need to unsrew the whole bottom part to get to it.
I wonder if there is some way of dating it and finding out what mounts it was made in.....hmmm
cheers

Isn't that a Minolta mount? I believe google images or wikipedia are your best bets.

It's a Minolta MD mount. A MD to K adapter exists, and you can remove the glass if you just want to use it for macro.

md to pentax items - Get great deals on Cameras Photo, Pentax items on eBay.com!

wow didnt know they existed! So I can actually use this as intended ? or is there a need to remove the glass? I wanted it for more than the macro but the macro would be nice!

edited to add the glass says M/SR is this the same?

cheers
