Ghosting - Due to UV?

Hey all, I recently took some shots that had some very apparent ghosting and I was wondering what might cause it. My first thought was that it could be the UVF, but not every shot I took did it so I couldn't just remove the UVF and necessarily draw a conclusion based on the results. Just looking for some friendly advice/insight, thanks!

This is internal reflections from air glass interfaces inside the lens, off the sensor, or possibly off the surfaces of the filter.

Try repeating the photo without the filter on the front.

If you use certain forensic Sigma and Fuji dSLRs, or shoot film, you can worry about UV. Otherwise not -- UV is filtered out by layers atop the sensor. As Chris said, you're most likely getting reflections off the filter.

Was there moisture or mist around those lights?

You can be quite certain that is off your filter.
The reason for why it isn't on every picture is because there are very few absolutes in this world, and what you are seeing isn't one of the few.

Thank you for the responses. I'm hoping, as it seems, that its the uvf and not my glass.
