Good choice of bags K-x plus Tamron 70-200?

I purchased a 70-200mm Tamron F/2.8 lens for my K-x. I have the two kit lenses also - 18-55, and 55-300mm.

I'm looking for a sling type backpack where I can obviously carry my stuff but where I can either have the 70-200 mounted or unmounted.

I though that the Tamrac velocity 8X would fit the bill so ordered it online at the same time as I ordered the Tamron lens. The lens will fit comfortably in the bag when mounted to the camera, but not so much when one of the kit lenses is mounted and the "big" lens is required to be in the bag unmounted.

What would be a good choice for a replacement for the velocity 8x?

Not sure this belongs in the SLR lens forum....

How big is the Tamron 70-200? I'm using the Slingshot 200 AW right now and I've grown to like it quite a lot. It fits my K-x along with pretty much any prime lens under 400mm. The Kata sling bags are also pretty nice.

It's about 3.5" in diameter and 7.75" long without the hood.

I got the bag linked below. It fits my Tamron 70-300 with a filter perfectly (but absolutely nothing bigger), and was only $35.

The Lowepro 200 AW would be perfect for that, it's worth every penny in terms of quality.

I can put my K20D with the DA55-300 mounted in the Tenba Shootout Medium Sling Bag, could possibly put your rig in a Small. The Shootout is a very nice bag.

The 70-200 f/2.8 is waaaayyyyy bigger than the DA 55-300mm kit lens. Especially with the tripod mount attached to it.

Thanks for the suggestions! Please keep 'em coming.

I have the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8, and recently ordered the Lowepro Lens Case 4 for it. Haven't received it yet, but decided that a dedicated case that has it's own handle and shoulder strap would make the most sense for a lens of that size (and a lens I won't always take with me).
