Prices on the A*400mm f2.8

I hope that this is the correct forum to ask this question. What are fair prices on the A*400mm f2.8 in various conditions (say KEH LN,EX,BGN)?

EDIT: I know that the lens review database states that the average price is about $3400, but I am also wondering about less than LN lenses. I remember seeing one go for less than that at B&H's used lens section online ($3000 IIRC).

Nowadays if you see one and it looks a reasonable price, get it, they are getting rarer to find and don't come up every day.

I would say that the 400/2.8 should go for $3000-4000 as long as it's mint optically. Despite the manual focus, it's still an extremely fast piece of glass, and certainly rare. I've only encounters one or two on ebay myself!

A very rare lens. I've never seen one. As Adam siad, if it is optically up to spec and really want it you better grab it. You may not get another chance.

There was one for sale here a few months back, then a few hours later the whole post dissappeared ? forgot the asking price, but it was in the low 3k, I think. (Was in great condition)
