The Zuiko 21mm f2.0 looks like it'll fit my needs. Does anyone have the lens on pentax? How hard is it to convert? Would it be better to get the leitax om-zuiko to pentax instead? Anyone have pictures? The sigma is just to soft even stoped down. The Zuiko

is supposed to be very sharp, even at f2.0. Whereas the sigma 20mm f1.8 doesn't get close to the da 21mm even at f3.2. Can someone post some pics of the zuiko 21 2.0. What I also want is less DOF without losing sharpness. The da21/sigma don' quite do it.

I agree, "acceptable" sharpness is what matters, but I think that also applies to the amount of blur you'd see with f/3.2. I guess I'd have to see apples-to-apples comparisons to be convinced, but *my* experience is as I've described - with my wider angle lenses, you *can* get away with slower shutter speeds, and I've done it many times. Admittedly, though, I have no comparison shots taken at night on the street with people walking. Just plenty of other situations (night street scenes without people, indoors with people engaged in conversation and not walking, musicians under stage lights, etc)..
I'm actually amazed at the shutter speed we now get away with since the advent of IS. This shot is of my wife walking at midnight under street lights with a shutter speed of 1/13 F 3.2 on the DA 40 ISO 3200. It should be easier with the DA21.

Actually Flickr still shows EXIF - but only if it's there in the original. It appears to have been mostly stripped out in that one.

Big and heavy compared to what? Compared to other standard-range f/2.8 zooms it's quite compact.
Sigma 24-60/2.8 EX DG is the heaviest with the largest filter thread among the lenses that I own. Also, I am more interested in smaller and lighter gear so that for example, I don't foresee buying Sigma 24-70/2.8 EX DG in the near future. I pondered FA* 28-70/2.8 but it gives me no advantage at the wide end over Tamron 28-75/2.8 that I have and it is 300 g heavier than Tamron. So, for me Sigma 24-60/2.8 is big and is heavy.

As for the DA 21/3.2 I should point out something that seems overlooked in this discussion. The quick shift manual focus. Combined with split screen focusing screen such as Katz Eye the ability to touch up focus in low light can be rather handy.

Douglas, absolutely loved the image "roslagsbanan".....WOW!

I am not a huge fan of street candids and such, but that train image is beyond amazing for my eyes....enjoyed it very much.

The new flickr foramt is not showing the proper exif, what was the expsoure settings on that shot.
Thanks!
