Ooh, speaking of Schneider (Isco is a unit thereof), I forgot to list my favorite strange lens, the Schneider Betavaron 3,5...11/0.08 badged as KREONITE, with brutally sharp optics and the weirdest operating style you can imagine for general photography. And it's heavy enough to kill a poodle.
Don't leave out the Meyer Primoplan 58mm/1.9 out of that group or the Meyer 29mm/2.8.

Alas, I don't have those.

But I'll accept contributions.

Easily the Sigma EX 180/3.5 APO DG Macro, but the Tamron SP 180/2.5 and SP80-200/2.8 are up there also, along with the 28-75/2.8 XR Di.

Easily the Sigma 8-16. Pentax simply has no similar offering.

I just bough the newly introduced Sigma 8-16 lens for my K200D.

It is ultra wide (12mm on APS-C camera) with extremly sharp and excellent image quality for all situations. I could not be much happier.

The Meyer 29mm/2.8 would look good on my SP. I am a 50-58mm focal length guy, but I do need a sharp 28-35mm ...

Favorite non-Pentax lens

I have 5 non-pentax lenses which are all quite different. I like them all, but if I had to pick one I can't do without, it's the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX. It's the older, pre-DG version with an aperture ring, great for film or digital. I'd love to have the Pentax FA* equivalent but at the time I got the Sigma the Pentax was nearly impossible to find and/or afford.

No question: my Sigma 24mm f2.8 AF Super Wide II.
I strongly agree! Just acquired this lens yesterday from the PFMarketplace and love using it already. Sharp, sharp, sharp! Great focal length, excellent in low light, and close focusing, all wrapped up in a small metal package. NICE!

That would be mine.

For film, the Sigma DG EX 17-35 F2.8-4. Duplicates the FOV of the DA12-24 but a tad wider and a stop faster at the wide end.

1. Sigma EX DG 28mm f/1.8
2. Helios 44k
3. Rokinon 85mm f/1.4

The Sigma is my most used lens by far.

I'm surprised that nobody claimed the Voigtlander 125/2.5 macro yet? Well, it's not my favorite third party lenses, although I had it for a short while.

My experiences with third party lenses are pretty limited, here are two of my favorites:
1. Tokina 90/2.5 macro
2. Sigma 17-70/2.8-4.5

Just bought the newer Sigma 17-70/2.8-4 OS, haven't received it yet. Hopefully it'd be as good as the earlier version

My Sigma 18-200 is a great outdoor walk around. I have recently acquired an older Sigma 28-70mm 2.8 EX DF lens. Excellent sharpness and wow, so much brighter than the 18-200. I love the lens, I'm still getting used to the weight and the size tho.

Nice summary! It's not always on the camera but it's always with me.
