my favourite non-pentax lens is Sigma 50-150/2.8 HSM II. I was split between this one and DA*50-135. While I was just charmed with optical quality of the DA*, the SDM performance (coupled with my K200d) simply annoyed me... Oh, and the sigma cost me exactly half the price of DA*.
Before I bought 50-150, my favourite non-pentax was sigma 10-20/4-5.6.

cheers, Luka

If I had to walk out of the door with one none Pentax lens it would be an easy choice, the Helios 44M.

From my limited selection (non-AF), the Vivitar branded 100mm f 3.5 macro (with AE). Plastic is underrated. :-)

MY TOP THREE (all in my camera bag):

Vivitar Serie 1 105mm f2.5 macro (not very rare)

Tamron SP 180mm f2.5 + pka adapter (rare, just some 3000 lenses made by Tamron)

Vivitar Serie 1 55mm f1.2 (have to be very rare. I have seen only 4 copies of these totally and one of them is actually on sale in EBAY:

For me, that would be the legendary Leica 50mm f0.95 Noctilux-M Asph, but as far as I'm aware it's not available in Pentax mount.

That's easy. Schneider-Kreuznach Betavaron 50-125/4-5.6 enlarger zoom, brutally sharp and totally weird.

But that two pounds of glass and steel, like my Lil'Bigma 170-500, isn't in my carry bag that much. So my fave non-Pentax glass that actually get used are: Zenitar 16/2.8 -- Vivitar-Komine 24/2 -- Nikkor 85/2
