I think it's pointless to test this lens' sharpness, all it does is make this lens look really awful.

I already know it's going to fail like most other lenses from 50-60 year ago with single/no coating.

Just go take some normal photos with it and judge it by how it's rendering your subjects compared to newer lenses. You'd be pleasantly surprised.

any macro shots? close-ups? how you like the lens? Yes, I think it's a good idea to shot normal real world images inorder to see the real capability of this lens. a field test with good composition might show what this lens can really do.

I just posted a whole set of photos from my first outing with the lens here:

While I haven't had a chance to test true macro or apertures 16-32, I'll do this in the next week and report back. So far I'm loving the rendering.

There are cheaper ways to get oddly-rendered macro and general shots. Get an old MF lens (like from a cheap box camera or folder) or a round magnifier or eyeglass meniscus or something of that order, uncorrected, and stick it on bellows. For better resolution, cannibalize a better folder.
Or an old projector lens ? Beat up old binoculars ? Or old 2X loupe ?
