DA 15mm LTD and GND Filters

Has anyone found a way to use a GND filter on the DA 15 Ltd without vignetting ?

I was told by another member that the adapter ring on the extra wide Cokin P series causes vignetting.

Does the Cokin Z Pro have the same problem.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

PS: I did try a search but didn't come up with a definitive answer.

I was able to use my cokin system with the 15. I'll confirm the size etc., later this evening.

Thanks pcarfan.

And thank you luck1 for the link. It led me to another poster who seems to have a solution.

I know there is a tidy workaround, just got to find it.

I have used the Cokin P series 49mm adapter, along with a 49mm slim profile C-PL filter and don't remember seeing any vignetting with the DA15. I used the polarising filter as a spacer in order to fit the Cokin filter holder over the built in lens hood.
I have however only tried this once or twice, as I didn't like using the Cokin system Technically it's possible there was some minor vignetting, but I certainly don't remember seeing anything noticeable at all.

The reason I didn't like using the Cokin system was due to the fiddly nature of setting it up and that stacking a few different GNDs gave a rather nasty red cast. The red cast can be negated in PP, but I wasn't too confident with the IQ. However I am very much a noob with this setup and I have seen great results from others.

It's also worth noting that the software graduated filter available in Lightroom is pretty good; however that means you would need to choose your exposure pretty carefully. This is assuming you don't do any bracketing or HDR etc...

Hi guys,

Did we ever find a conclusive answer to this? I'm looking to pick up a Cokin kit for my 15mm (probably from Adorama so I can pick up some other bits and pieces like film) and it would be great to get a guide of what to get.
