Just be thankful you didn't have a K-5 in there. Hopefully you can get your lens cleaned on the cheap.

that's what thieves do. they could simply toss away something what they thought means nothing to them but is something for others.

I'm betting they opened the bag, realized there was no way they could possibly hawk/pawn/sell the gear, and chunked it. Makes me wonder just how lowlife some people can be.
