I just picked up this lens from Helix camera in Chicago for a very reasonable amount. I put on the tamron 1.4 TC and a kenko uniplus tube and shot this pic handheld with K10D:
Exposure Time (sec) : 1/180
F-Number : 11.0
Exposure Program : Manual
ISO Speed : 100

wow thats really sharp! and with a teleconvertor too!

The pictures look great. Very sharp. If I look for it in ebay, what is the reasonable price to be expected for this lens. And how much is the TC 1.4 converter. I am also looking for a great walk-around zoom in that range. Another lens that I consider is the Pentax 28-105 f/3.2. If anyone with information comparing the two, I would be grateful. I see a lot of mentioning about the Tamron 24-135 as a great walk-around lens, please comment.
