My Kids My Passions with DA 50-200

I have taken a bunch of pictures in my stair with my K100D and DA 50-200. I love that lens to work with my kids. A slide show with their favorite music

I made quite a number of errors in composition and moving too quickly but I find the the lens doing quite well in zoom in to action while my kids seldom offer me a moment of static pose. Selected pictures:

C&C are welcome especially if you can share techniques and settings in shooting kids candid pictures. Also, I am looking for a ZOOM lens to work with my kids at home. I prefer wider angle and so far I am looking for Pentax 28-105 f/3.2-4.5 for a potential candidate. Thoughts and comments on zoom lens in the focal range of 18-135. I prefer AF to work with my moving kids.

Thanks,
Hin

These are super! Is your house very bright inside or are you using flash? The kit lens and I are NOT getting along inside my house (lots of blur with motion...and motion is law with kids )...probably because I am clueless... but I think the lens has it's part in the blame too!

Thank you for your comment. I use my stair as I am fortunate to have big window right in the stair. Here is the opposite view from where I am shooting my kids in my original post:

I am looking for external flash to work with my kit's lens and the DA 50-200. Without flash, those two lens are slow for indoor and pictures are not as good as outdoor. My list of external flash under consideration are captured in

Flash after Pentax FA 50 f/1.4 - Hin's Tech Corner

and you can also see my quest for portrait lens for reference

Thanks,
Hin

Superb tone and emotion and nice sharp images! I haven't got a 50-200 but whenever I see the IQ of this lens I always think I should :P

Great shots

Love those shots, they are just so natural and relaxed. Well done!
I have the DA 50-200 and I must say it is a very good lens for its price.
Kids are really very photogenic too, bet you have taken 100's of shots of them
