This is the third time I've gotten some much needed glass for a low price at a Thrift Store, so I figured I'd share.
There was a guy with a thick Russian accent at the Benson Corners Antique Mall in Bristol, WI (where 45 and 50 intersect), who had quite a few lenses for sale at his booth. Most was C*nnon and N*kon, but I did walk away with these 3 pieces for $80.
He also had a few super Taks and some other assorted Sears/JC Penny glass for under $30, if anyone's interested. The 2X converter I especially needed; it will make a nice combo with the Viv 205 for outdoors wildlife stuff, and possibly keep me from pulling the Bigma trigger for a while longer.
Vivitar 75-205 f/3.5 macro zoom is first, followed by the Asahi 50 f/2 and Soligor 2X converter.
