Lens Storage

Hey all - I know there've been threads on it in the past, but I can't find any posters who live in a Vancouverish climate as well, so I'm looking for some help here - living in Vancouver, B.C., the humidity is pretty high, and I'm generally in the basement of the house, and so are my camera/lenses. Should I get a dry box? Or use some silica gel and ziploc bags? How should I store my lenses safely from fungus in this climate?

The silica packs are a good start, I bought mine from this company:

Offering a full line of Desiccant (Silica Gel) based Dehumidiying Products! - SilicaDesiccants.com

Luckily were not so bad here in Vancouver, I was in Toronto a few days ago and it’s way worse. If you lived in SE Asian I’d get a dry box, otherwise store your camera/lenses upstairs if you can.

Phil.
