Does anyone else who owns this lens find that on the k100d it hunts like crazy and doesn't lock on??? just back forth and give up, not always but often enough to annoy me...

On my DS it is 100%, just on the K100d it plays-up...

P.S. Curious to see what it is like tonight on my new K10d

I had a Tamron 90di for a week on my DS but it refused to focus in about 50% of the shots (non-macro, good contrasty subject). So I returned it, tested two other ones in the shop but both acted the same. On a MZ50 it worked great and fast. Instead I bought the DA50/2.8 macro and that shows no problems. I hoped things like that wouldn't happen anymore with the K100D..

Maybe it is a common problem with 3rd party lenses?

Try that on k10d after you returned home. k10d should have a better AF accuracy and speed.

Tamron does produce fantastic images as you had revealed to me many times.

Same problem with the Tamron 90 and the k10d...

Looks like I will be using it manual focus? shame as it worked great on the DS (for me anyway)

Really? Maybe it is quality control issue then?

Hows the colour and sharpness from that lens on k10d?

Post some examples?

Colour and sharpness are still fantastic, just AF won't lock on...
