Two orbs in my pictures?

Hey guys, I am curious, what would be causing this? Does not show up with other lenses, but I am not sure exactly why this occurs. Thanks in advance mates!

Does that show up when you are not taking pictures with a bright light source right there?

That looks like the light messing with the lens in some kind of reflection.

The 2 orbs should be some unwanted reflections from the original light source (the lamp). I guess you must be using a filter. Try removing the filter and see.

I had similar experience before using filter on a FA50 1.4

Looks like lens flare to me, it happens when a light source is in the frame. The size, shape and appearance of the flare varies by the lens and/or filters you're using

I've never seen it look quite like that though

That thing looks like an ET is coming through the wall from another dimension. I know it's just a light thing, but it's funny, lol. I bet the really rabid parapsychology UFO folks would have a fit with this one if you blurred it just right and posted it as a "sighting" shot.

Hi SirJangly!

That filter certainly looks like one to avoid. Can you let us know what make it is, and whether or not it's coated/multicoated?

Two orbs are definitely flare. I think the lamp has two bulbs.

A similar example taken with an FA 50 1:1.4, UV filter and hood:

Definitely a reproducible phenomenon, given the right conditions.
