can i buy any Tamron lens or does have to be made for Pentax?

looking to get a 70-300. when i look it up in google many come up saying they are for nikon, cannon.

do I have to get one made only for pentax? or do they all fit all cameras? I have a k-x.

Tamron just came out with a new 70-300 that isn't in the Pentax mount but they do make lenses for Pentax and you have to buy lenses made for your camera,

It is pretty easy to tell what brand it is for, it will say it in the name of the product, in the product description, or if you're in a store it will be marked on the box, but you have to get lenses made specifically for your camera brand

i found one on ebay that is listed for pentax, but i dont see the word pentax anywhere on the lens.

also, it says it fit the k10. does that mean its an old SLR Lens? is that ok with my k-x?

if doesn't say it on the lens but if it's for Pentax then that means it will work on any Pentax body, also the K10d is a modern DSLR

K10d -> K20d -> K7 (current)
