I would toss out that "LATHER" case

If everything is reasonably clean and working, i would say yes but i'm no expert on prices.

Just the "LATHER" or both "LATHER and LEATHER"?

Anybody has any idea about the Raptars, are they C mount or can be used with a micro 4/3?

Let's see...how good was the deal greatly depends on condition, and which versions are those lenses.

A clean Spotmatic in good shape -- meter works, shutter speeds reasonably accurate, light seals and mirror bumper are inexpensive and easy to replace -- goes for $25-$35, up to $50 for 'mint' tested good condition.

The Super 3.5/135 depends on version. Version 1, serial number begins with '1', with mark-free clean optics and snappy clean diaphragm is worth $60-75. Later version only $30-$40.

The 3.5/28 Super with optics & diaphragm in great condition, $40.

The TC not much, a few dollars.

The 13mm cine lens is probably usable reversed as macro lens, not worth much. No use for the 1.5". Maybe $20 for both. I'm not sure if these might be more valuable to m4/3 crowd.

Don't know about the flash. Does it work? I don't see a flash head. (edit: I see the head now)

The Opticam maybe $10.

Add it up...

The Super 1.4/50 depends on version. The 8-element version often competes in price with the later S-M-C version which goes for $80 to over $100 in some cases depending on condition. $50-60 for other Super versions.

Thanks Clicker & Rhodopsin.
I just hope that Raptors are compatible with micro4/3, my next purchase as soon as Pentax make one (?).

WARNING: DO NOT USE THAT FLASH ON A dSLR! IT WILL FRY THE ELECTRONICS!

Otherwise, you have a pretty good deal there IMHO.

I doubt you even can use that flash with a K-x. I don't think it uses a hot-shoe connector. Spotmatics didn't have a hot-shoe until the SPII.

I was the second place bidder who lost out by less than $3 to you.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

How the hell did you end up paying $200 for this bundle? Shipping could not have cost $70, even to Canada. It should have been less than ~$30. Please do not tell me you went ground shipment and got hit with a customs fee.

I had priced the entire auction based on the assumption that the S-Tak 50 was a gen 2. However, based on the age of the equipment, I had thought that it was also pretty likely to be a gen 1. I even messaged the seller AFTER the auction ended to satisfy my curiosity.

QuoteQuote:
Hi, Thanks for looking at our auctions.
When an auction has a bid and will sell, it gets packaged and wrapped to wait for the auction to end. I'm sorry I can't answer that question at this point.
Sorry you lost the auction.
Sincerely,
Roseria
So, the thought of letting a gen 1 S Tak 50 go was eating away at me but I figured, some Pentax Forums user probably sniped it from under me so I'll find out one way or another.

Frankly, the only thing worth anything is the 28/3.5, 50/1.4 and 135/3.5. The others can't be given away. Well, the converters can be useful and perhaps the cine raptors are worth more to the m4/3 crowd. It's dangerous to price auctions based on things like Spotmatics and no-name lenses. They're mostly worthless and only adds clutter to your house. Taking the time to wrap them up and ship it at the post office isn't worth the measly $5 profit. I learned it the hard way.

I've seen people pay all sorts of prices for the three lenses individually with no rhyme or reason. They are easily worth what the auction ended at if they are in good shape. $70 for postage however does seem a little steep from NY to Canada unless they've added a led brick in the box and it's going to the Alaskan border.

Here is how, it's altogether from two different auctions, first one is (129.9+29.9)=$159.8 USD, the Opticam 9.9+12=$22 USD total $183 USD. becomes CAD $193 (approx.) + $7 CAD tax and last time i paid $11 CAD Tax for 110USD item (an M 50mm f4 ). Got it, and these are not for resell, just for my LBA. I will update the condition and version once I receive them.

See what happens when you leave out the small details?

Enjoy your new lenses. The Super Taks are really some nice lenses.

Honeywell Pentax had only Spotmatic IIa? But I am not going to use that flash anyway with my K-x. I did not have chance to use my 285 Thyro and AF280T yet with my K-x, just having it feels good right now.

Honeywell was still the importer when the SPII was released in 1971, in 1972 the SPIIA was released in North America. It had an "Electric Eye" for Honeywell flashes. Spotmatics before the SPII didn't have hot-shoes, only a removable accessory shoe as fitted to the SP above.

BTW, don't mount that Vivitar 285 on your K-x unless you want to fry it. Off camera sync only for that one. The AF280T is fine.
