Just received a new 1.7x adapter (ordered from Japan). Attached is one of the first pictures - it was hand held at 1/60 of a second at f8. ISO 200 on a K10D, using the DA*300mm. The blue jay was about 3-4 meters away. It was very windy and some feathers are moving. I cropped the picture slightly in post processing. You have got to love the in body shake reduction.

Thats one very fine BJ shot and you have a very fine TC+lens combo to work with. Its my favorite.

In my experience, that's a hell of a combo. Sold my Bigma and I bought the adapter. No regrets. Have fun with it.
