I shot a wedding last fall with a Sigma 30/1.4 on one K7 and an FA77 on another K7 - it wasn't that difficult to do at all. I only swapped out one of the primes to get a couple of shots with the fisheye for effect at the ceremony (at a quiet time).

I'd love to share some of the pics, but b/c of where they work they didn't want to sign my release to share their images publicly.

As far as I'm concerned shooting a wedding with primes is only difficult if you try to emulate other photographers who use zooms. If you know your gear and are comfortable with your own style you could shoot just fine with one lens - just like Wheatfield indicated.

I don't understand the surprise. the one and only wedding I did, back in 86, was with a 24mmF2.5 an 50mm F1.4 and a 100mmF4 macro.

the 21, 43, 77 combo covers much the same range on a DSLR as my lenses did on film.

I suppose the surprise is that a person can shoot anything without resorting to a zoom lens.
I did weddings for at least 15 years with just a 50mm lens.

I love the shot with FA 43 ltd, it gives me more reason to get one for myself! Definitely a good beginning !
