Schneider 18-55 MACRO??

Isn´t this false advertising:
Pentax KAF 18-55mm f3.5 all DSLR k schneider top! MACRO - (eBay item 110165366476 end time Sep-09-07 03:15:00 PDT)

That's a kit lens, samsung branded...

Macro? no

The guy probably used a template from another lens and didn't change all the text.

Or he's just trying to get a few extra bucks for the false macro advertise.

Well the 'macro'/close focusing ability of the Pentax/Samsung 18-55 is far better than other kit lenses.

You can focus up to 2.5cm away which is pretty good. Just remember that this is a kit lens like Pornflake mentioned haha.

I'm guessing the guy took this sentence from the linked-to popphoto review and ran with it: "At the uniform close-focus distance of approximately 9.6 inches, magnifying power ranged from 1:8.8 at 18mm to a very tight 1:2.9 at 55mm." Macro? Hardly. Although, I do have another old zoom that does say "macro" on the barrel and it only goes to 1:4, so you never know...

Um...huh? Different quality bracket? For the SAME lens? And if Pentax is making their lenses out of window glass these days, I'll be the first one to put their SMC windows in my house!

This guy sold one (eBay) a couple of weeks for about AU$160.
