Any Sample Pics from the new Pentax 35mm Prime?

Are there any available yet? I am really curious about that one.

I also had a chance to put the DA 35mm/f2.4 on my K-7 for a short time. Again, just having not much light to work with at the Pentax stand at the PhotoKina.

To my surprice the K-7 already new the lens so I could use the incamera distortion correction wich was probably one of the ad-ons with the latest firmware update.

No lenscorrection from RAW:

With lenscorrection JPG from the K-7

I thought it was a nice lens, feld good to handle. Okay it's cheap, but not in a messy way.

Looking forward to seeing some reviews of this.

If it delivers good IQ across the frame at say 2.8, then I will be keen to get one.

I have to agree. I'd love to take one out for a spin. But from what I see here, I think it's time for the nay-sayers to shut up.

I took couple of photos with that lens. The lens seems to be really sharp and contrasty. Two examples both shot raw and converted by silkypix with basic settings. Both shot at 2.4

and 100% crop

Yes I was interested in wide-open if that was a strong or weak point of the lens. I love it anyway. Like this Pentax may make more primes to attracked people who can't afford al the expencive DA* lenses.

It's not just about the sharpness, that can be done in PPing, contrast and colours too... but look at those OOF backgrounds! Terrific for low end lens IMO! I may have to get one of these with excuse that it'll be for my wife
