18-135mm lens, what's the warranty?

early reports seem to indicate the AF is pretty quiet and fast, but does anyone know what the warranty is?

is it still 1 year? .

i was surprised to find out that some of the prosumer nikon glass (55-300) has >1 year warranty.

That's probably a safe bet unless you are in a country that requires a longer warranty.

I think that's an excellent question! My Sigma HSM developed problems too but, 2years out, it was still covered by warranty. A multi-year warranty tells me that the manufacturer has confidence in the product.

1 year here in the US. However, may retailers such as BH and Adorama do feature extended replacement plans for up to 5 years, which might be worth investing in.
