It's too bad the picture is of the back of the lens, as it would be nice to see which version of the K15/3.5 it is. It will be one of the following:

1) SMC PENTAX 1:3.5/15 AL - Produced only in mid 1975 (Would be worth over $1000.00 USD)
2) SMC PENTAX 1:3.5/15 - Produced from 1975 - 1977
3) smc PENTAX 1:3.5 15mm - Produced from 1977 - 1984 (Most common version)

From that picture it could even be the "A" version!

HI!
she mailed me another pic. from there I can read a number :5068197 and that there is no AL or A or mm added to the numbers . Just 1:3.4/15

I guess its the common one, which is good for me, cause its more cheap then..
Thank you again for the help.

OK then the lens is this one, it's less common than version #3:

2) SMC PENTAX 1:3.5/15 - Produced from 1975 - 1977

Phil....What is the optical difference between version 2 & 3?
Presumably version 1 is aspheric?
Regards, Martin.

None. Just minor cosmetic changes to bring the lens in line with the rest of the range.

Yep 2 & 3 have the same optics, just as "womble" stated only cosmetic differences.

Yes version 1 is the aspheric one that was only produced in small numbers.

There were a few changes when the A version was released. (The "A" function and one less aperture blade)
