I forgot one item: it has a 72mm filter size.

This looks like either the Tamron 28-200 or Pentax 28-200 (which is a Tamron too, by the way). Both also have a 72mm filter size.

Not positive but it looks a lot like the Tamron Adaptall-2 28-200mm/f3.8-5.6 LD Super (Mdl 171A). The 72mm filter size fits too. Search with that title for pictures. Not too uncommon and has a rep about the same as the FA 28-105/f4-5.6 which is also a Tamron product. Typical web price about $120-140. A few reviews but not (yet) cataloged in PF reviews or on the Adaptall-2.org site.

If it is, and it's on an AF Pentax body, it may have a PK/A adapter too although it wouldn't be an AF lens.

Thanks guys for the info.

I found out that it's a ProMaster LD 28-200mm 1:38 - 5.6 Anyone know if it's AF? Is this a rebadged Tamron?

Yes, it's Tamron and it's AF. Any reviews/prices for the equivalent Tamron descriptions work for the ProMaster line - differences are primarily cosmetic.

I had the Tamron 28-200. About the same IQ, pros and cons as the DA 50-200 plus the 28-50mm range but significantly bulkier.
