The cost is high but the IQ and very fast AF (within its range) almost makes up for it. Certainly its my fav of my 5 TCs. I highly recommend it for anyone with a da*300/4 in spite of the effective f10 or so required to get optimal sharpness You want to shoot BIFs at 510mm with AF that does not cycle and make you lose sight of the subject? This TC on the right lens is the answer.

Ivoire...thanks for posting. We may still have PF members in Japan that will resell the TC so you don't have to order it through a Japanese broker.

This guy hasn't been able to get them for 6 months, he said he was waiting for them to come back into production. I'm hoping the forums Kenko TC guy will get them and sell for a few $s cheaper.

You can also order thru Amazon Japan

Amazon.co.jp: HOYA F AFアダプタ1.7X F AFアダプター1.7X: 家電・カメラ

May be a few dollars cheaper but need a friend in Japan to forward to you or use a shipping service.

Does anyone know if these are actually currently in production, or whether this is just "new old stock" that has popped up?

Just wondering if I should snap one up...
