I would like to see A DA* 16mm F2 as that would be a true replacement for the FA* 24mm on aps-c anything from 16 to 20mm under F2 would make me happy ... While they are at it make a DA* 11mm F2.8 please

Since the very well built DA 14mm is already in place, why not make it 10mm, to replace the A 15mm?

Ultra-wideangle lenses aren't the easiest to design, a 11mm f/2.8 would be in all probability as large as the FA31 if not bigger. I own a Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S and it is a brick of a lens no, make that two bricks. As good as it's performance is, it suffers from prismatic flare artefacts unless you are shooting with your back to the sun, It also has no filter thread.

Pentax has never been about making big bulky lenses, they have always stuck to small utilitarian designs, that is their strength. There is a possibility they may make a 20~28mm f/2 lens at some point in the future but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Agree! I'd even settle for a DA 16 F3.5/3.0/2.8. or a DA 18 2.4/2.8/3.2.
And yes a 24/2 would be nice but I'd also settle for a 24 f2.4.

Let's take a look at the current in production Pentax DA Limited and FA Limited prime lineup (with equiv 35mm FF FOV):
DA15 (22.5) f4, DA21 (31.5) f3.2, DA35 (52.5) f2.8 and f2.4, DA40 (60) f2.8, DA70 (105), f2.4
FA31 (45.5) f1.8, FA43 (64.5) f1.9, FA77 (115.5) f1.8

I'd love to see something in between the 15 and 21 (a 16/3.2 or 18/2.8) and another prime in between the 21 and 35. For in between the 21 and 35 a DA24/2.4 would be good and heck why not bring back the 28/2 A 28/2 And while I'm wishing the mystical 35/1.4 M 35/1.4 would be good to add to the crowded 35/2.8, 2.4 field.

For the discussion, and the day.

Pentax-A 24/2.8 at f/2.8. You have to focus pretty close to achieve significant subject isolation.

Lest we forget.

I think f/2.8 is a pretty good compromise.

Well, a DA 24 Limited with a high aperture would be nice.
But maybe somethings going to be anounced.
I remember that Pentax wanted to announce 5 lenses this year.
Until now they've announced 2 (?)
