Desperately NEED HELP choosing a lens

I think he said he was going to be using umbrella flashes, so the ISO problem won't be so huge.

If you have a lot of light, you could shoot a wide angle MF lens at hyperfocal, but only if you did not want to rush into the action really quickly.
