how do you clean the black rubber parts of your lenses?

they tend to accumulate "white dirt" as time goes by, and trying to clean it with a cloth only leaves more white dirt on the rubber!

do you have a technique in cleaning the lens rubber for it to look newish black again?

Q-tip + Isopropyl alcohol.

Try 3m Scotch Magic Tape, works perfectly.

I've never tried it, but there's a lot of stuff for car trim and rubber to restore the black finish.
