Going FA Prime.

what would be matching wide angle and tele lens based on a FA50mm f/1.4 with the requirement being full frame capable?

FA*24/2 & FA77/1.8? I have the strong feeling that they wouldn't perform that well on FF DSLRs though.

I guess all FA, unfortunately we don't see any FF from Pentax soon - at least in the near future.

I don't have either, but I suspect they would do just fine on full frame, designed as they were for film. Depends on your benchmarks, I guess.

I have an older Sigma 28/1.8 (Model II, aspherical), and a Sigma Super-Wide 24/2.8 AF - the latter seems a little nicer in terms of IQ, but slower of course. Not sure about the 24/1.8.

I actually have an F 28mm/2.8 that I got to specifically be able to use with my MZ-3. There is also the FA 35/2. There was a FA 28/2.8 but I like the optical formula of the F 28 better. The new DA 35/2.4 they will probably work. There is also as mentioned the FA 20/2.8 but isn't that easy to get a hold of and the already mentioned FA* 24/2.

BTW, I have the F 28, FA 50/1.4 and the FA 77 ltd and use them on both dSLR and film with no problems and that is in part why I have them. If the FA 35/2 has an edge on my F 28 on digital, its because of the Ghostless Coating and f2 maximum aperture. On film, the 28 wins IMHO. YMMV.
