Need some guidance on Pentax-M 50mm f1.7

Hi...
I'm facing a problem to use this lens on K100D Super...
Body seems wont work at all with this lens...
Are there any specific settings that should be done?
Can anybody help me with this...?

have you set the camera to allow use of lenses with app ring? Not familiar with the K100d super...but some where in menu ought to be a selection to allow use of app ring. If thats not the issue, be more specific about what is, and I'll see. I've used the same lens on D, DS, and K20 with no problems....

After selecting "allow use with aperture ring" from the custom menu, you need to expose in Manual mode by pressing the AE-L button. The camera will stop down the lens and take a meter reading and set the appropriate shutter speed. You focus also in Manual mode. Take the picture.

Exposure can be a bit hit and miss so use the histogram to fine tune.
