Sigma 105mm Macro in low light

I've got a Sigma 105mm macro on route, and curious if anyone has used this lens in low light. Specifically, my buddies band will be doing a gig in January, and I'm thinking of trying some shots, and it would be a good opportunity to try this lens out. Any experience? Does it focus well in lower light? (K7)

No macro lens focuses well in low light.... the sigma is no different. I guarantee you will be flipping it into manual

You're talking about long focus throw? I think the sigma has a focus range limiter (as does the tamron 90mm and the old pentax fa).

Yes, which is useful but that does not change the speed in which it focuses it just cancels drastic hunting

I've got no problem with manual. Most of my lenses are.

Thanks for the replies.
