Here is My List

I think that I could easily get along with this:

FA* 24mm f2
FA 31mm f1.8 Limited
FA 43mm f1.9 Limited
FA 77mm f1.8 Limited
FA* 200mm f4 Macro

My only regret would be the lack of the A* 135mm f1.8 but the 200mm Macro would have to do...

If I had lots of money, I would want something like this (I already have two on the list):

Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM
Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 ZK
Pentax SMC-FA 43mm f/1.9 Limited
Voigtlander Macro APO-Lanthar 125mm 2.5 SL
Pentax F* SMC 300MM F/4.5 ED-IF

If I am to go with the 5 lens of choice from what I already own :

DA* 16-50
DA35mm
DA* 50-135
DA 100 WR Macro
DA* 300mm

I would possible carry my Pentax 1.7X TC as well, but that makes 6 really.

I think everyone of us would have something we would prefer, after all LBA is rather endemic disease.

In that case, sign me up for a FA 50mm/1.4 LTD or the DA 50/1.2 ltd.

It's that 5 only that bites the hardest...

5 of 6 in my bag are

Sigma 8-16/4.5-5.6
DA 16-50/2.8
FA 85/1.4
DA 50-135/2.8
FA 200/2.8

If I can, I'll replace the 200/2.8 with Sigma 100-300 F4

The 10-17 I'll hide in my pocket.

Maybe the title should be "The Perfect 7 Lens System."

There was an FA 20 F/2 or was that wishful thinking?

I want to end up:

DA15**
FA35 f2
DA70
D-Xenon Schneider 100mm f2.8 Macro
DA* 50-135

That said, I'd trade out the 50-135 for a 60-250, or sometimes my Tamron SP 180mm f2.5+1.4TC (because I like a little more reach)

** SOL (Still On the List - to be purchased )

How about the "Seven Samurai"?

DA 15
FA 31
FA 43
DA*55
FA 77
D-FA 100 WR
DA*300

Cheers...

The first 3 pick themselves, total no brainer:
DA15
FA31
FA77

4 & 5 are harder, but I think it would be 2 zooms:

DA*60-250
Tamron 17-50

If it were a top 6 then I'd happily swap the 60-250 for my DA*50-35 & DA55-300.
