Tokina Tele-Auto 135mm f2.8. Can anyone tell me something about it?

Just won it on ebay together with an old Pentax SP 500 (I think, doesn't say in the auction and pictures doesn't tell) so it's m42.

Tried to google it but found nothing, so I want more info about it!

Saw some samples from tokina tele-auto 135 3.5 and it looked very good. Is the 2.8 a better or worse model?

Got it for about 50 dollars shipped with camera, bag, flash and takumar 55 1.8.

That was a good deal. The Takumar is worth the 50 bucks IMHO. Are you sure the Tokina is 2.8, it could be a typo. I can't find any information about it either, so I guess you'll have to take some test shots. Feel free to write a review here to benefit other users:

The auto mamiya/sekor 2,8/135 lens for DT/DTL cams is a really good lens. Nice to use. It came with white nose (actually, chrome) adn in all black versions.

The focus ring run smooth and precise.

The aperture one run very well too. And the A/M selector is a dream.

Optically is a 4/4 shame lens.

Color rendering is very good (a bit in the cold side, like old leica M lenses). Excelent for portraits, in my taste.

The resolution power is very good from F/2,8 to F/11. At F/ 16 falls something.

My prefer F to use: F/2,8 , F56-8 and F/11.

After this version, came the SX 2,8/135, very good lens too. It was the base of the rolleionar 2,8/135 lens. But I don't know if it's a tokina lens.

Of yoiu send pics of the lens and taken with the lens, we can be more clears and precise too.

Rino.

This is pictures from the auction anyway. Haven't got it yet, but probably will today or tomorrow. Will try it and post a review and better pics of it asap.
