Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar, more shots from the 55 year old lens

I went for a walk with 2 other photo guys and snapped off a few shots with the CZJ Tessar 50mm , quite a nice little lens! Very compact and light on my KX

the high altitude cirrus clouds were very dynamic , I didnt notice until after I had been staring through the viewfinder waiting for leaves to blow off

I eventually waited 10 minutes for these leaves to get blown off!

With all of the buzz about the K5, I find your pics refreshing!

Did you have to use any special adapter to fit this lens on your Kx?

What version do you have? AFAIK there are various generations of CZJ Tessar 50's with subtle and not-so-subtle differences. I have two: a big (well, bigger than a Domiplan) black M42 version with 5 iris blades and an M/A switch; and a tiny (well, smaller than a SuperTak 55/2) aluminium Exakta-mount version with 12 iris blades, that's always in my carry-kit. (I mount that with an easy trick: glue an M39-M42 adapter ring around the bayonet blades; grind about 0.6mm from a cheap M42-PK adapter and thread that on.) And I've read of other variants with various blade counts. What kind is yours?

BTW I really like the wire-mesh shot.

Does yours also have the T coating (the one I have from `54 does). It´s flawless.
