I'm not seeing those details on the faucet, or at least they don't look unnatural to me. As for the harsh transition on the camera edge, yup, it's a problem that if it was a critical picture would need a little PP.

It seems it's just a limitation with very fast glass that you have to be aware of. As I said, even the DA* 55/1.4 can exhibit this type of problem.
