I've seen the light--35mm for street shooting

Have used my 28/3.5 on my K10D while out and about doing deliveries in Sydney/North Sydney ... on a nice bright day.

No hood or filters used .... I was mainly playing with Hyperfocal distance while on the move and stationary in traffic. It works nicely when I wanted to get a shot or 2 off quickly due to time limitations.

Would like to try this again though with the 35/3.5 if i can get the chance.

Ira, nice pictures!

But 35mm can be perfect, or itself can even be too wide. I like crowded craft fairs as you mentioned, or festivals, or events with a lot of people. The smaller FL's help ensure a wide DOF and can even be used to shoot without the viewfinder, although the DA-21 shot below was a VF shot. Also under crowded conditions, one may not have the distance that even a 35 might require. I'm waiting for a K24 f2.8 to arrive from ebay :-)
