dumb question

How do I open my lens off camera?
I want to take a picture of the glass of my DA 70 Limited and I'm perplexed I don't know how to open it

I assume that you want to open the diafragm. da lenses don't have an aperture ring so the only thing I can think of is to hold down the lever on the lens mount. that is what the camera uses to stop down the lens on any lens that is not preset. It is the only moving part on the mount, you can't miss it.

He/she might also mean "take the lens off the camera". Hold down the little black button on the lower left side of the lens and gently twist anti-clockwise.
