Some lenses are expensive at any price. Since you can only mount one lens at a time, make it a good one.

The package is not an exceptional deal but still a good deal nonetheless. Pentax 50 f2.0 will be a keeper even if you eventually get a 50 f1.7 or f1.4 later on - you could use it for macro shooting applications with extension tubes or bellows (flatter fov than either 1.7 or 1.4). The other off-brand lenses are acceptable performers (take a look in the Off-Brand Club thread for examples), anyways these lenses will be an inexpensive foray into the manual focusing. These lenses all have A mount - getting used to these would be a whole lot easier than M mount lenses. You can probably recover your costs at a later date if you split the package and sell the items individually.

Thanks,

What lenses do you have at the moment? You're probably not going to end up using any of them very much, but it could be worth it just to have the different options to try and experiment with. And as mentioned if you're up for the hassle you could sell any you are not using later and recover some of the cost.

Tell him $25 for the 50mm or $40 for the lot since you don't really want the rest of them.
