Question abut the DA L version of the kit lens.

I currently have an older DA 18-55. It came with an ist DS kit. Still works fine.

I have been thinking about adding a k-x to my kit. The deals on the k-x + lens kit make me think I should get the kit with the DA L 18-55 and then sell the lens. Ending up spending less than just buying the body.

Then of course, I wonder if I should sell the older DA 18-55 and keep the DA L, which is newer. I know the DA L has a plastic mount and lacks some markings. Are the insides the same as the older DA kit lens?

I still use the kit lens to take snap shots and when I need auto focus. It's what my wife uses to take pictures. I have always been pleased with the quality of the Pentax kit lenses. Anyone find the DA L lit lens sub par? When compared to the DA version?

the DA L has the optics of the version II of the kit lens, which is supposedly better than the one you have
