18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM

I'm interested in acquiring this lens, and I am wondering if anyone has any experience using this lens, I am looking for some positive, & negative feed back from people who has used this lens ?

I have a read a few online reviews in regards to this lense which has me intereasted in purchasing it, I have reviewed the lense reviews section in this forum, and I noticed that no one has posted any information on it.

I have the Sigma 18-250, so I can give a few comments about it.

Pros:
-Convenient when you don't have time to change lenses (obviously).
-Very decent sharpness for a lens of this class. A bit of step up from the kit lens IMO. I've gotten plenty of nicely sharp photos from this lens. Just don't expect prime quality.
-AF is very fast, and very quiet.
-OS is relatively effective. IMO, it's a little better than Pentax built in SR at the very long end, and about on par at the short end. It's also nice to have the image stabilized in the viewfinder. Just make sure not to use them both at the same time, as they will "cancel" each other out.
-Relatively close minimum focus distance.
-Readily available. You don't have to go hunting it down like the Tamron/Pentax 18-250, which is discontinued.

Cons:
-Big and heavy. Makes it rather awkward and unbalanced when paired with a small camera like the K-x, especially at the long end where it doubles in length, with most of the weight at the end.
-Zoom creep. It starts off pretty stiff, but it quickly loosens up and now it slides quite readily. There is a zoom lock, but it only works at 18mm.
-Not so great flare resistance. I find some prominent flare pops up more often than I'd like. This is exacerbated by the lens hood being only good for 18mm; any longer and it doesn't really do anything.
-CA does get a little obvious at the edges of the frame. Not so much a problem in the center.

I don't use it very much anymore, since moving on to primes, but I still take it out every once in awhile when I know I won't have time to change lenses (like shooting from a moving vehicle). It's a very decent all-in-one lens if that's what you need.
