plausibility of a telephoto Limited?

looking at the weights and sizes of the lenses in this link (a list of Pentax telephoto primes) I was left wondering would it be possible for Pentax to make us a small, telephoto (120-135mm), fast (ish) f2.4-f2.8 Limited lens?

Pentax Telephoto Prime Lenses

a lot of you guys mention that Pentax has a gap in the lens line (in a form of a 35mm "normal"), but to me this is a bigger gap .. we dont have a telephoto prime (DA70 Ltd, DFA 100 WR and then the DA* 200)

Well the limited's are built for being compact, telephoto lenses canot be built small like the other limited's, the longest focal lenght in the limited range is the fa77 (short tele) other than that the dfa100wr isnt a limited even tho it does have the build of one. But i do agree there is a gap in the line up between 100-200.
A DA 135 Limited f/2.8 maybe possible, and would probably sell very well. I would like to see it happen.

I know it cant be THAT small, but built to be 2 to 3 times thicker than the DA 70 would be great

While this lens could easily be a limited, I think it was not designated such because it's size is simply not nearly as small as the other limiteds. It is nice and compact, but all of the limiteds are really quite tiny for what they do.

I think they want ultra-compact to be synonymous with limited. Therefore, I really hope they make a make a D FA 135+ 2.8/2.0 or something along those lines, with the same build as the 100 macro. I hope they continue the all-metal trend with the primes, even outside the scope of the limited line. I think if they built the D FA line to be the "telephoto limiteds big brother" it would be quite nice.

Personally, I'd love to see 180mm f4 WR with 49mm filter thread. Kind of a mix between 100mm WR and 180mm Voigtlander SL.

OK, I'm gonna jump off topic here, but a bigger gap is anything over 300mm. I sure wish they'd put something in production above that...

The FA77 is 48mm long.
The M135 is 66mm long.

So, I think it is possible.
Some small tele in the 120-135mm range would be great, I agree.
