Majority of people love smooth and creamy bokeh. Personally I prefer harsh bokeh.

A 50 f1.2 has amazing bokeh and fun to use at leisure.

I must say the images taken with this lens are great, I have seen roentarre's shots before and now also Abbazz's shots are great. I guess part of it is that the effect at f1.2 is something that you dont see often.

I have the K version of this lens. I like it a lot. Much care is needed in focusing because of the paper thin DOF when wide or nearly wide open. Here's a link to the LBA post I made when I first got the lens.

NaCl(I really like the bokeh on it also)H2O

Don't think it is still available outside Japan. If you notice, there is no price on that page, but other Pentax lenses still available do have pricing on their web pages.

Lovely pictures, roentarre. Thanks for sharing.

I second your statement on bokeh. The bokeh also varies a great deal according to the background: both of your tulip shots have a rather creamy bokeh...

Cheers!

I think I might get one of those new Corsina 58mm f1.4 lenses when they hit the streets. If the price is decent and image quality good then it looks like a fine piece of machinery. In the mean time I'll keep using my Super Tak 50 f1.4 as I don't know how often I'd require such a thin DOF such as f1.2.
