I'd go with the FA 50. Why? For one it's faster by one and a half stops, it's wider, which AFAIC, makes it a more versitile lens, and thirdly it's a FA lens so it can be used on old film bodies, (if you have one of those or ever get one).
I do not own the DA 70, I went with the FA 77 ltd instead for the reasons stated above, so I don't know the pluses and minuses of that lens but I can say that the FA 50 is moderately sharp wide open and very sharp after 2.0. It also has that Pentax "pop" that people talk about, the "three dimensional effect". I'd say that it's main defect is that it's not very contrasty, especially wide open, but color rendition is very good. Some people complain that it focuses slow, I've never found it so, but I use manual focus much of the time anyway.
