My luck runneth out
Purchased two lens used today
One is a 17-70 Sigma f/2.8-4.5 macro...I've posted a thread showing some on markings on inner element. Curious as to whether someone more knowledgable than myself would give it the eyeball test.
Second was a Sigma 70-300 3.5-5.6 DG macro, low investment, picked it up for $69 shipped. Problem being.....when mounted on my K-x, all I get in the Aperture display is a
"F--" message, blinking. ......then nada. Cant shoot auto, macro, manual, nothing. My other lenses work fine, so I believe it not to be the camera. I've cleaned the contacts.....I assume perhaps a chip issue or lens defect? Anyone seen this particular error message and is it a death knell? No biggie, i can return it, and not like its a high end piece of glass. Input appreciated
