Cruise: Lens choices. Help needed

Before I bought the DSLR we did Alaska with two Cannon P&S cameras. Based on that I would take the 35 and leave the rest home. Travel light and enjoy the trip.

Well done on your cruise. Your photos are great. The 16-50 and 50-135 are great lenses but expensive and heavy.

For my trips and my budget I took the following:

*** The Bahamas - K200D, DA18-250mm, and FA50mm F1.4
*** Cancun - K200D, DA18-250mm, and FA50mm F1.4
*** Maui - K200D, DA18-250mm (Walk around), Sigma 24-60mm F2.8 (Low Light), DA18-55mm WR (Jungle and waterfalls)

The DA18-555mm WR lens and K200D was nice for piece of mind combined with a fast prime for low light...great travel kit.

I did not mind the weight of the 16-50 and 50-135 lenses. Its nice to see you getting such superb photos from the smaller lenses you took.
